Description

Latrobe Art Center closed its doors starting March 16, 2020, in response to the global health crisis. The closure was only supposed to take place for two weeks, but ended up lasting longer than that. The art center lost all but two staff members--neither of whom were artists. So we started #HomeStudioLAC, where artists (and community members) are encouraged to submit art tutorials, and the art center would share the free tutorials online to their social media audience. These could be easy crafts that could be done with supplies already at home, or more complex art techniques.

This video was the very first video, made on Saint Patrick's Day, by art center director Lauren Buches. Lauren had limited video editing skills at the time, and no art skills. Later, other artists began to contribute for much better art tutorials and videos.
